Our Christian Sympathy is extended to John & Barb Wenig and their family in the death of John’s father, Norbert Kabat on January 14th. We pray God will comfort them in their time of bereavement.

For those who are visiting, attending regularly but not members, new members, or just curious; there will be an informational group that will meet to discuss these things. It’s time to start inviting your family and friends to the Beast Feast which will take place on Friday (yep Friday) March 9 at 6:00 PM. This year’s speaker will be TW Norman. TW pastors a church in southern Illinois and he is also part of the Field Staff of Final Descent Outdoors. The Feast will also offer contest prizes as well as door prizes. To reserve seats sign up at the Information Booth. If you are interested in making a donation for Feast contact Pastor Brian.
First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove has a few spots open for a Work Trip to Houston, TX from February 3-11. The work will involve reconstruction from damage done by Hurricane Katrina. No special skill levels are required but those with construction skills are encouraged to participate. Funding for the trip is available through the Reformed Rebuilders. There is only room for about four to five people so please act now by contacting Pastor Brian.
CALLING ALL BAKERS (Men & Women): Do you love to bake? Have you always wanted to learn how to bake with yeast, but don't have anyone to show you? Maybe you have experience baking with yeast and would love to share your knowledge and have fun baking and fellowshipping with others...and enjoying a taste test of the results. We have some interest in learning how to bake with yeast, and would like to try and form a baker's Life Group. If you have any interest in this type of group, please contact Diane Joosse or anyone on the Life Group's Team.
Are you interested in making profession of faith? If so, an opportunity to do so will begin late winter or early spring. To take advantage of this opportunity sign up at the Information Booth or contact Pastor Bob, Pastor Brian, Toby or Lori.
ATTENTION SENIOR CITIZENS AND RETIREES: Young at Heart will meet on Monday, February 12 at 11:00 a.m. Mary Kemph, Southern Sheboygan County Coordinator of the Aging and Disability Resource Center will be the speaker. She is an energetic, enthusiastic person and will speak on "Know Us Before You Need Us". Invite your friends. A potluck lunch will follow. Please sign up at the Information Booth. Questions? Sr. High Winter Retreat at Silver Birch – Feb. 23-25th. We are joining other WI RCA Churches (likely over 100 people) and diving into the theme “ABIDE” from John 15. Sign-up, brochure and permission slip are on the Uth Board. Cost is $60.00. Money and permission slips are due TODAY!
January Food items needed for the Food Vault: Mac and cheese, peanut butter, jam and jelly, rice, granola bars, canned chicken.
Please remember that on Wednesdays, the doors will be locked at church; please ring the bell at the carport or kitchen door if you need to get into the building during the day. For Wednesday night programming, please also remember the carport door will be the only unlocked door.
Mission of the Month: The January offerings will be going to the Other Way Ministries (Lloyd Ter Maat). The amount received to date is $895.00.

The Gabrielses would like to thank our congregation for all your prayers and cards while Preston was recovering from his accident. Preston will be returning to school on January 22nd and returning to work on February 7th. We are truly blessed and thankful to be a part of this church family. Attention kids currently in Third through Seventh Grade and their Parents! FRC will be attending Camp Manitoqua June 24-29. Please note we will again leave on Sunday and stay overnight as a group at camp as we did last year. Details and sign-up information will be available soon as we get the code from Camp Manitoqua.
The next Men’s Prayer breakfast will be held on Saturday, February 3, at 6:00 AM at Judi’s Place in Oostburg. Men of all ages are encouraged to attend. Join us for a time of fellowship, prayer and food. If you plan to attend please sign up at the Information Booth.
Attention Men: The No Regrets Conference is being co-hosted by Southside Alliance Church and Crossroads Community Church at Southside Alliance Church on Saturday, February 3rd, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Speakers including Ray Johnston, Kenny Luck, Chris Brown, Miles McPherson, Stuart Briscoe and Steve Sonderman will speak on topics relating to everyday life. Please be in prayer for the following people this week:
Pray for a member who is suffering from severe depression.
Pray for Carol Voskuil as her body reacts to her weekly chemotherapy treatments.
Pray for Nick Hilbelink as his body reacts to his most recent chemotherapy treatments. Pray that he will continue to stay healthy through his treatments.
Pray for Mary Lammers that her chemo medicine will continue to be effective and that the side effects will continue to be only minimal.
Pray that Gary DeMaster that he would regain strength and stamina, that physical therapy would strengthen his knee and leg and that he would regain mobility and pray for patience during this time of recovery.
Pray for Tom Horn with his ongoing kidney dialysis and other health issues.
