GENERAL INFORMATION FOR EVERYONE!
On April 29 and May 6 following the worship service there will be planning sessions held for anyone in FRC who would like to participate. This is a part of the strategic planning process we are using to look at our current and future ministry. Each session will last about one hour and will be very interactive, your participation is important. Each session stands alone so you don't need to come to both but only one of them. We appreciate your participation and voice!
Congratulations to Travis & Megan (Ten Haken) Mentink on the birth of a baby boy, Jackson Jon, born on April 16th.
NOTE: The Property Team is organizing a Spring Clean Up Day at Church for this Saturday, April 28th, with a Rain Date of May 5th. We are looking for volunteers to come and help! We will be starting at 7:00 AM. You are welcome to come and go as you need too. Please mark this date on your calendars, and we look forward to seeing you there!
Mission of the Month: The offerings received in April are going to Local Missions/Trek to the Ark Encounter. We’re helping Camp Manitoqua build a new slip & slide, packing and providing meals for area people in need, planning a mission project for Pine Haven and helping serve at Lifest. The amount received to date is $170.00.
The Consistory wants your input! We have a new space in the old garage that is now a wonderful new space. While it will primarily be used by the youth and praise teams, it is great for any group needs, so we want to give it a name that will reflect this. You can put your suggestions on a sheet of paper and place it in the box in the foyer on the display cabinet. The consistory will review the suggestions and pick one.
ATTENTION CHOIR MEMBERS! The choir is getting ready for their final performance of the season on Sunday, May 6th. We’ll be singing a congregation and choir favorite – “Great Is The Lord Almighty.” We won’t be practicing on any more Wednesday nights, but if you’ve missed some practices, if you’ve been gone taking advantage of warmer climates, or if you just want to give choir a chance and sing along with a great song, meet us in the Fellowship Hall at 8:30 AM on Sunday, May 6th.
ALMOND PATTIES FUNDRAISER! We are also doing an Almond Patty Fundraiser for the Trek to the Ark Encounter with Casey’s Bakery from Sioux Center, IA! These buttery puff pastries are filled with an almond paste filling. They use the highest quality ingredients available and we only use 100% almond paste. They come frozen and freeze incredibly well and taste amazing (Ask Pastor Bob, “A Dutch Delicious Delight!”). There are 6 pastries in a package, they will cost $10/package or 6 packages for $50. We will take orders through the end of April, and have them delivered in early May. Pay when you receive them. For questions contact Toby, Lori or the Church Office. A sign-up sheet is located at the Information Booth or you can call the Church Office at 564-2319 to place an order.
Parents of children 3 years old through Fifth Grade: Due to a change in the Music Schedule, the kids will not be singing on April 29th!
Parents of Fifth Graders: Please be sure to have a discussion with your child about our overnight retreat!
