SMALL GROUP MINISTRY: The purpose of small groups is to provide support and encouragement in a small group setting. Groups of six to twelve people meet regularly to share their concerns and to care for each other. Each small group meeting consists of an ice-breaker, Bible study, sharing and caring time.
SUNDAY SCHOOL: Classes for all age groups meet each Sunday morning from September through May at 10:10 AM. A series of adult electives are offered each quarter, offering Biblical answers and guidance to life issues.
YOUNG AT HEART: his group of retirement age men and women meet each month in the Fellowship Hall for a Potluck Dinner, and discuss political, local, historical, and other issues and activities. They also have a spring and fall bus tour.
A TIME FOR YOUR HEART: A low impact, but effective time of exercise to help keep the juices flowing and the ticker tickiní. Join others in fun and fellowship while maintaining or improving your fitness level.
MISSION WORK PROJECTS: Work groups are organized, as needed, to assist on mission fields with special projects, and in communities who have experienced natural disasters. These work projects are set up through the Pastoral Care Deacons.
FAMILY WORK GROUPS: The church family is divided up into work groups helping to meet the physical and also the emotional needs of our church family. They serve together at special birthdays, anniversaries, funerals, etc.
2 Timothy 2:15: Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.
The women of the church united to serve, fellowship and encourage each other. The Women's Ministry sponsors conferences at our church and organizes trips to conferences when they are elsewhere. It holds fellowship events, bible studies, and service projects designed for women.
Other groups which are part of the overall Women's Ministry are:
ADELPHIA: A ministry designed to meet the needs to today's women in helping them to develop a closer relationship to Christ in their lifestyle and to create an opportunity for friendship and fellowship through a variety of activities.
MISSION CIRCLE: Bible Study that also concentrates on mission projects. Meets the 1st Thursday of the month in the afternoon.
WOMEN’S CIRCLES: All the women of the church are welcome. Bible Studies meet at church during various times of the month:
Morning meeting - 4th Tuesday of every month
Evening meeting - 4th Thursday of every month
Colossians 3:16-17: Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. ?17? And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
The purpose of Men's Ministry at First Reformed Church is to disciple men in their relationship with Jesus Christ. The goal of Men's Ministry is to bring men together who have similar interests so that they can build friendships and be strengthened in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

* Golf Outings
* Seminars (Promise Keepers, etc.)
* Big Buck Contest
* Pro Sports Games (Brewers, Admirals, etc.)
* Build A Bird House (with kids)

The purpose of Sunday School is to pass of the faith to the next generation by teaching the essential doctrines of the faith through chronological study of the bible, study of the Heidelberg Catechism, and learning to carry on the faith on your own. There are classes for all age groups. They meet each Sunday morning from September through May at 10:10 AM and focus on creatively communicating biblical principles with age-appropriate discussion.
HOUSE OF PRAISE (HOP): A special worship time for children 3 years old through 2nd grade which meets during the morning worship service in the children's worship center. Children hear and see Bible stories using “hands on” materials. They are encouraged to re-tell these stories to themselves and others or respond to the stories in other ways provided (puzzles, draw, write, music). They sing songs, play together and learn how to get along with others.
Family Vacation Bible School: Families participate in a summer week filled with singing, Bible stories, games and crafts, all centered on a Biblical theme.
KID’S HOPE USA: One child, one hour is the heart of Kid's Hope USA. One caring adult mentoring an at-risk child one hour each week. Because when kids feel loved and valued, they are better able to learn, grow and succeed. The opportunity is vast. The need is great. The idea is simple. One child, one hour, one church, one school. You could be the one.
High Five: A youth group for fifth graders. The purpose of High Five is to share the Word of God and encourage fifth graders in their faith by providing times of Christian fellowship and opportunities for service.
TERRIFIC TUESDAYS: An after school ministry offering games, snacks, crafts and a devotional time. Terrific Tuesdays is a great opportunity for elementary aged school children (grades K-5) between 3:30 and 5:00 PM on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month during the school year.
Summer Ministry: This ministry helps children to connect with the church and feel that it is a place for them!
PRAISE KIDS: Wednesday night Choir for K-2nd graders.
KIDZ N Worship: Wednesday night choir for 3rd-5th graders. When not singing praise to God, we’re having fun together. We sing the music kid’s like!
SUNDAY SCHOOL: Children 3 years old and up meet each Sunday morning from September through May between the 9 a.m. and the 11 a.m. services to learn Biblical principles taught on each age groups own level.
BIBLE CLASS: All students in grades 1 through 5 are encouraged to attend. Classes meet from September through March on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:15 in order to increase Biblical knowledge.
INFANT & TODDLER NURSERY: Tender loving care and a cheerful, clean environment is provided by our separate Toddler and Infant Nurseries for infants and children up to 3 years old at each of our AM services. Our volunteers have two things in common a love for children and a love for the Lord.
